Documents for a language year
This is simpler than for degree programmes: no HSK certificate, and the document package is minimal.
Valid for the whole period of study — the main document for both the application and the visa.
Your school certificate or degree, plus the university form. We translate and certify them for you.
The standard health certificate on the form required for entry to China.
No HSK certificate is needed to start — that is the main difference from degree programmes.
How we work — stages and fees
A language year is a year of studying Chinese at a university in China. CSCA (the China Scholastic Competency Assessment — an entrance exam compulsory for bachelor's entry from 2026; it does not replace the HSK) is not required for a language year, so admission is simpler and faster than for a bachelor's. You submit and file nothing yourself — we handle all the work with the university, the documents and the translations. From you we need only the original scans.

- your national ID or proof of address;
- your school certificate or degree — every page;
- a police clearance certificate from your country of residence;
- a passport-style photo — a selfie against a plain light background is enough.
Stage 1 — Preparation and submission
$120 / ¥880We check your documents, produce the Chinese translations, notarial certifications, medical and bank certificates (some through our partners). We prepare and submit the application to the university and handle all correspondence with the admissions office. You do not have to collect or chase anything.
Stage 2 — Admission and issue of documents
Main feeWhen the university is ready to admit you, it states the tuition amount — we pass you the payment details and, if you prefer, make the payment through us. Once paid, the university issues the invitation and the visa form. We hand you the complete admission package. Payable on the result.
The university charges a fee for reviewing the application — ¥300 to ¥1,000. This is the universities' own requirement, every applicant pays it, and it is non-refundable even if the application is refused. It is not our commission — it is paid separately (and can be paid through us).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to speak Chinese?
Not necessarily. Many bachelor's and master's programs are taught entirely in English. If you want a Chinese-taught degree and have no language yet, the usual route is a language year first, then the degree.
When should I start?
For a September intake, start six to nine months ahead. Scholarship deadlines close much earlier than ordinary admission deadlines — often in the winter for the following autumn.
Can you guarantee a scholarship?
No, and you should not trust anyone who does. Scholarships are decided by universities and government bodies, not by agencies. What we can do is tell you honestly where your profile is competitive.
What is not included?
Tuition, university application fees, accommodation, insurance, travel and visa procedures are paid by you directly to the relevant institution. We do not provide a visa service.
How do I pay?
We send an invoice after your consultation. Fees are quoted in US dollars and Chinese yuan.
