Introduction

Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College is a public full-time higher education institution sponsored by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, under the supervision of the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and jointly constructed by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. The college was formed through the merger and reorganization of Chongqing Chemical Industry Workers University and Chongqing Advanced Technical School of Chemical Medicine, and was originally established in 1964.

The college is recognized as a "High-Level Vocational College in Chongqing," a "National Demonstration Base for High-Skilled Talent Training," a "National Model Training Base for Vocational Education and Training in the Petrochemical Industry," and a "Civilized Campus in Chongqing." Relying on 2 national-level and 4 municipal-level key majors, the college has established nine major clusters centered on two municipal-level "double-high" major groups: Applied Chemical Technology and Pharmaceutical Production Technology.
