Most rejections in Chinese admissions happen before anyone reads your file — you miss a test date, a deadline, an age cap. This intake in Chengdu removes those tripwires one by one: no CSCA exam, no interview, applicants up to 28, and a deadline that runs to 30 October 2026.
Admission is decided on documents alone. For an applicant with average school grades, this is about as low as the entry barrier gets for a real degree in China.
Two majors, both in English
- International Economics and Trade — if you see your future in trade, sourcing or logistics, a Chinese economics degree plus working English is a concrete, employable combination.

The discount — 56% — is not a prize you compete for after enrolment. It comes from a partner scholarship scheme that allocates more than 20,000 funded places a year, covering 50–100% of tuition for Chinese and international students alike, and it is written into your admission offer from day one.
Daily life in Chengdu runs about ¥2,000–3,000 a month — the city is one of China's major hubs, but far cheaper to live in than the east-coast capitals.
Who fits this intake
- Age 16 to 28. The upper bound is the unusual part: most Chinese bachelor's programmes close at 25. If you spent a few years working after school and assumed the door had shut — here it hasn't.
- Completed secondary education. School results are reviewed, but there is no competitive exam score to clear.
- English: a certificate only "if any". Without one, you record a 2–3 minute self-introduction video in English instead.
How the application runs
- Assemble the base file: passport and photo, diploma and transcripts (colour scans), foreigner physical examination form, non-criminal record, bank statement, application form.

- Submit before 30 October 2026. Minors add guardian guarantee letters; applicants already in China add their visa or residence permit and prior study records.
- On admission the university issues the JW202 invitation form, which is what the consulate needs for your X1 study visa.
