In response to the requirements of the digital economy and the intelligent era, the school focuses on information and commerce, and develops modern information-related and industrial intelligent-related majors. It has joined nearly 20 related industry associations and has reached school-enterprise cooperation agreements with 260+ renowned enterprises such as Zhiyuan Robotics, Xiaomi Smart Appliances, NIO Automobiles, Mianjiang (Wuhan) Robotics, Huawei, JD, Kingsoft Group, Huaxing Optoelectronics, Gree Electric Appliances, Wuhan Enxi Medical Beauty Hospital, Wuhan Hetian Hotel, and Shenxifu Technology Company, establishing 13 industrial colleges.

WUHAN BUSINESS AND TRADE VOCATIONAL COLLEGE is a full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. The school currently has two campuses in Wuhan and Hengan, covering an area of 1287 acres. The campus architecture is a blend of Chinese and Western styles, grand in scale, and the campus environment is beautiful and elegant, earning it the reputation of being one of the most beautiful higher vocational colleges in Hubei Province. The school admits students from over 20 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country and has cumulatively cultivated more than 70,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents for society. In the "Jin Ping Guo" China Higher Vocational Colleges Comprehensive Competitiveness Ranking, our school has ranked among the top 1/3 of national higher vocational colleges for four consecutive years from 2023 to 2026, and is among the top higher vocational colleges in Hubei Province and the first among similar institutions.

The school currently has over 18,000 full-time students and 937 faculty members. There are 65 full professors, 263 associate professors, 1 Hubei Industry Professor, and 35.75% of the teachers hold senior professional titles. The school has established 5 school-level skilled master studios, 12 school-level masters, 18 teaching masters, 51 professional leaders, and 423 key teachers.

The school has 1.28 million printed books and 1 million electronic books. The campus is covered with 5G network and wireless network, with a total of 6,786 network information points. The school has been approved as a Hubei Province Skills Competition Base and two Wuhan Skills Competition Bases. It has 382 training, internship and employment bases, 8 production-oriented training bases on campus, 24 training centers, and 141 training rooms and digital classrooms. It is a school recognized by the Hubei Provincial Education Department as having a high-level professional group and a "3+2" undergraduate-graduate joint training school. 

In the past five years, the school's teachers have won 70 national awards and 246 provincial awards in various teaching competitions; they have published 664 papers, undertaken or presided over 126 national and provincial scientific research projects, and obtained 314 patents and software copyrights.
