Chongqing Vocational College of Media

Chongqing Vocational College of Media, located in Tongliang District, Chongqing, is a private full-time general higher vocational school approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, filed by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.
In April 1997, Chongqing Centennial Guangcai Economic and Technical School was established by Centennial Guangcai Group in Yongchuan District, Chongqing. In April 2001, the school was upgraded to a higher education institution with the approval of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and renamed "Chongqing Guangcai Vocational and Technical College"; In May, the school was registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. In April 2005, the school was included in the list of ordinary colleges and universities with restricted enrollment (yellow card) in 2005 by the Ministry of Education; In June, the school stopped enrolling. In December 2007, the school was relocated from Yongchuan District to Tongliang County Education and Technology Park for expansion, and was renamed Chongqing Media Vocational College. In March 2008, the first phase of the school construction started. In September, the school resumed its operation and began enrollment. In August 2023, the school was elected as the executive director unit of the first council of the National Infant and Child Care Service Industry-Education Integration Community.
As of December 2024, Chongqing Vocational College of Media covers an area of 623.60 acres, with a construction area of 200,292.19 square meters, and teaching and scientific research equipment worth about 38 million yuan; there are 9,196 full-time students and 463 full-time teachers; There is 1 Chongqing municipal professional teaching resource library construction team. As of March 2025, the school has 1 Chongqing municipal backbone major and 1 Chongqing higher vocational education dual-base construction project. As of May 2025, Chongqing Media Vocational College has 8 secondary colleges and 32 higher vocational enrollment majors (including directions).
