Introduction

Founded in 1934 and located in the culturally and historically known city-Changsha,China,Hunan University of Chinese Medicine(HUCM)is a Chinese medical institution of higher learning, which takes its base on education and teaching, while combining teaching, researches, medical treatments and school-run enterprises in its comprehensive development.

HUCM covers an area of about 933,380 square meters. Now it has four campuses and the main campus is built at the foot of the south slope of Yuelu Mountain near the Xiang River, which is a nice place to study in and pursue dreams. Boasting 18 schools,24 undergraduate degree programs, covering fields of Medicine, Science, Engineering, Management and Arts, 16 affiliated &indirectly affiliated hospitals and 5 school-run enterprises,HUCM has now 27 doctoral degree programs, 64 master degree programs, and 2 post-doctorate mobile stations.There are more than 21,000 students and over 30,00 faculties in the university.

The university has cultivated more than 70,000 graduates working in the Chinese Medical field with their footprints around the world. The university is among the first accredited medical schools to recruit foreign students and students from HK, Macao, Taiwan. It is also a base of international cooperation in Chinese Medicine at ministry level. It has cultivated more than 1000 degree students from more than 20 countries or regions.
